Mount Lemmon Marathon - The World's Toughest Road Marathon!
We are dedicated to providing a runners' experience like no other. The Mount Lemmon Marathon, Half marathon and 10K take place in the Santa Catalina Mountain's located in the northern part of Tucson.

The Santa Catalina Mountains, with its diverse ecosystems and perfect weather is a perfect place to hold a racing event of this magnitude.  The race course climbs to more than 8200' ASL before descending into the town of Summerhaven.

The small town of Summerhaven is a wonderful place to end a race, cool air, nice people and good food.  Situated in a quiet valley approximately 7600 feet above sea level, Summerhaven is part of the rugged alpine peaks of the Catalinas and cool spring water flowing through town.  Adorned by small shops and places to eat it is a great place to spend a day.

In 2013 we are offering a new event (10K) that will start near the Palisades Ranger station and follow 6.2 miles of hilly treed roads.  This event will end in Summerhaven where the Full and Half finish.

2013 will again offer the full marathon starting at the bottom of the mountain and following 5850' of vertical climbing to a spectacular finish in Summerhaven. (look for the survey page and vote if you think we should only use the uphill marathon or switch every other year to a new course that would summit Mount Lemmon and loop down towards Windy point before returning back up the mountain to a finish in Summerhaven. More details to come!)

The Half Marathon will be changing the start location to the Windy Point Vista, this moves the start one mile up from the previous course.  The course will add  new sections and may be subject to some minor changes before the event

The 10k is a new addition for 2013, it is Tilte Sponsored by the Saw Mill Run restaurant in Summerhaven.  The Saw Mill Run will provide a fantastic runners breakfast to all the participants in this years event.  They are also open year round and have superb food!
